1959 – Jay Van Andel and Rich DeVos found Amway in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States

1962 – NUTRILITE™ brand introduced to Amway distributors

1968 – Launch of ARTISTRY™ skincare and cosmetics brand

1971 – Amway’s first overseas expansion to Australia

1972 – Rich and Jay purchasing controlling interest in Nutrilite Products Inc.

1973 – Amway expands to Europe and first market to be opened is UK

1974 – Amway expands to Asia

1979 – The US Federal Trade Commission declares the Amway sales and marketing plan a legitimate multilevel business opportunity

1980 – Annual sales pass the $1 billion mark

1985 – Amway expands to Latin America

1994 – Amway Corporation purchases in full Nutrilite Products Inc.

1995 – Amway opens in China

1997 – Amway expands to Africa

2003 – Launch of worldwide contributions effort – Amway One By One™Campaign for Children program

2005 – Amway offers its products, services and business opportunity in Russia

2009 – Global Annual sales reach $8.4 billion

2010 – Launch of Beautycycle™ skincare and cosmetics brand
